Music sequencing toy game for PC

Sequence8 is a free music title from an indie developer who goes by the name billiam. It is a music sequencer toy game that lets players create simple music with various built-in retro sound tones. It supports up to four audio channels at once for more complex and intricate compositions.

Create your melody

In Sequence8, you are presented with a grid that lets you add eight note types to a four-bar music section. The samples are reminiscent of retro sounds and there are four instruments to choose from, and you can combine up to four audio channels at the same time to create a song.

In addition, there is a copy-paste function to make it easy to reuse a repeating sequence on multiple sections of your song. It allows for up to six sections per challenge, letting your composition be as simple or as complex as you want. What could be added in the future is a volume mixing function.

Retro composer

If you've ever wanted to play around with a synthesizer and music sequencer, Sequence8 is a charming and fun tool to get you started on coming up with a melody. It's not the most advanced thing in the world and it's not trying to be. Give it a try and see for yourself.
